If you have never had your cat professionally groomed before, we invite you to speak
with us. Once we see your kitty and discuss your needs, we can offer suitable
solutions to whatever issues you and your cat are dealing with. We also do house
calls and are happy to talk to you about your grooming needs.
De-shedding your cat is a wonderful way to cut down on hair in your home. Most
cats love it! It feels good and removes the excess hair that they ingest (think no
hairballs) and your home has less hair clinging to the furniture and your clothing!
Regular de-shedding keeps hair & hairballs to a minimum.

Why have your cat groomed?
A clean cat is a happy cat and a
bonus is no more icky hairballs.
Meet "Alex the Kat". He is our
mascot at Kat Groomer of Reno
At The Kat Groomer we don’t lick cats, we actually groom them. We use the best products, high quality tools, and
advanced techniques to remove tangles and mats, degrease coats, remove excess shedding, clean up dirty hindquarters, trim
nails, neaten up overgrown faces, and fix any other problems that a cat may have that simply aren't fixed by licking. In the end,
you end up with a clean cat that looks and feels better than you ever thought possible.
Kat Groomer / Catnip grooming was established in 2011
I'm a Certified Feline Master Groomer and received my training from the National Cat Groomers Institute of America, Inc. I
recieved my Master Groomer certification in 2011 after passing a total of nine exams that include both in-depth written material
and actual hands-on grooming. I do continuing education through a variety of professional groups all geared to the well being and
health of your feline companions.
I am here to make your life, as a cat owner, easier and cleaner. We're here to make your cat look and feel better and do it in the
safest and most efficient way possible. After all, a groomed cat is a happy cat. And the people who get to live with them will be

Most people think that cats groom themselves. The reality is, cats lick themselves.
Grooming and licking are two entirely different things. When a cat licks itself, it's
covering itself in saliva and dander. Nothing your cat does during the licking process
relieves it from tangles, mats, fleas, dandruff, skin conditions, and unsanitary things
hanging from its hindquarters. Not to mention if kitty is indoor/outdoor what types of
pollens and allergens it's brushing up against and carrying back home.
And here is the kicker! After years of licking itself daily, a cat sleeps on the sofa or
curls up on the very pillow you lay your head on at night.
